[Selwyn College]

Selwyn College was founded in memory of the first Bishop of New Zealand (1841–1868 )  and Lichfield (1868–1878 ), George Augustus Selwyn (1809–1878 ) in 1882 and formally became one of the constituent colleges of Cambridge University in 1958.

The college motto “…ΑΝΔΡΙΖΕΣΘΕ” is from bible 1 Corinthians, chapter 16, verse 13, which means  “Do manfully”.
